Do you want a tree for your yard?
We have opportunities for almost anyone interested in planting trees. Below are some of the opportunities for house owners and renters interested in helping green Tacoma. We understand there is a lot that goes into planting and caring for yard trees, we have surveys coming soon to gather your comments, concerns and what is important to you.

How can I get more trees?
There are opportunities for almost anyone. Here are some ongoing programs available to you.
Urban Tree Sale
Pierce Conservation District’s Urban Tree Sale helps residents plant trees around their homes and along streets through significantly discounted trees, planting resources, education, and ongoing support.
Native Plant Sale
Every year, Pierce Conservation District offers an opportunity to purchase native plant bare root or plug stock. These plants include edible shrubs, small trees, and large trees that are found in Western Washington.
Tree Coupon Program
The City of Tacoma and Tacoma Power partnered together to offer a coupon for one-time use per residential property for $30 off a tree from participating retailers. This program is closed until October 1st 2021.
Tree and Plant Giveaways
Tacoma Tree Foundation and Pierce County Parks host a number of tree giveaway events throughout the year at locations across Tacoma and Pierce County.
